About 23.18 update

Got just 23.18 update, earlier today got "etyp" (?) and after OS update got "misc peripherals", so might be a good idea to check after update if there are something more to update.

Hello. I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the weather widget. Initially, I would recommend trying these steps:

Ensure your phone OS, and the Connect app are on the latest SW version.

Calibrate your compass in Settings -> Sensors&Accessories -> Compass -> Calibrate. Don't be too close to big metallic objects during calibration.

Similarly, the compass on my F7S Pro Solar hasn't been affected by any updates and I'm currently on 23.18. All we can say is that there might be an issue affecting some users but that it's not inherent…

I also had some download problems, had to get main firmware with computer. "Misc periferals" loaded ok with f7 wireless.

After updating the weather widget stopped working... I had to revert to 22.06. One of 23 betas, I've trid had the same issue. Never resolved.

I had to install weather widget for testing it, but it seems to work for me. (maybe conflict with something else like your local weather provider API or another problem? F.ex. if beta has brought something that final fw doesn't have? I'm not in beta program. Actually not the foggiest idea what and why, just suggesting...) Anyway I have used windy.com widget, a bit more accurate in here, but not as good as local meteorological institute app in my phone.

Thx. I've tried everything, including not installing anything after updating to 23.18... after 30-40 min. garmin weather widget was down. I've never such an issue before. On 22.06 everything works fine.

Hello,

Has anyone problems with navigation arrow?

Today I did a route and the arrow showing your direction was not pointing correctly, I twisted 180° myself and the watch was not doing it and it took a while to show the right direction.

Thanks, now seems to work fine.
I thought it was something related to some update as it was workknf fine until today.

Exactly the same here. Since the test unit is on 23.18 the compass kind of stucks after EVERY factory reset no matter where you turn to as if a strong magnetic source is keeping it. Every time around a 20 degree segment but always to a different direction. And thus the navigation shows exactly this behavior.

Calibration of the compass after every reset anew was the solution as ethczwrote.

In fact when I observed that immediately after installing 23.18 and the immediate factory reset I thought it to be a broken (like from flashing software) compass b/o it was so extreme. But fortunately it was not...

I can't say whether the problem was already there right after the update b/o I factory reset immediately after the update to have a clean system for testing.
