About 23.18 update

Got just 23.18 update, earlier today got "etyp" (?) and after OS update got "misc peripherals", so might be a good idea to check after update if there are something more to update.

Ensure your phone OS, and the Connect app are on the latest SW version.

Calibrate your compass in Settings -> Sensors&Accessories -> Compass -> Calibrate. Don't be too close to big metallic objects during calibration.

Similarly, the compass on my F7S Pro Solar hasn't been affected by any updates and I'm currently on 23.18. All we can say is that there might be an issue affecting some users but that it's not inherent…

I did some more in depth testing here:

Downgrade to 17.28: Compass ok -> another factory reset: Compass ok -> upgrade to 23.18 again: Compass ok -> next factory reset: Compass hanging as described, this time around 25° -> Compass recalibrated: all good.

I just mention it b/o it looks really broken at the first look but obviously isn't. Calibration fixed it all the time (7 factory resets with 23.18 so far, all to the same outcome but with different "frozen" directions). Not a real problem but good to know so not to get frightened. Most people don't do factory resets after an update anyway. I do it only since it is my test unit and I want a clean unit every time after I tried something not so supported like side loading things and so on.
