New futures from Fenix 8 in 2025

Will Garmin add some new(possible )futures from Fenix 8 to Fenix 7 pro and below models 

Or 1 year off support after release is too much(7 pro)? 

What do you think?

And from last update still not possible to use navigation( not enough memory error).....

  • Really tired of that. Maybe I'm not so experienced user, but I want to use my watch without bugs.

    Im talking about navigation, exercises.

    Last bug was next: when I choose exercise Run, watch asked me to choose pool length:-))

    I will not judge because have no to much information.
    In my case I had reported couple SW bugs in the past, all were fixed.
    I'm using Garmin watches since 2016, previously Fenix series, now Descent and never faced big issues, couple random restarts and thats all.

  • No problem if you like do that, you can report what you want:-) I want only use my watch, not to receive messages: not enough memory when I try to launch navigation:-)

    I'm simple customer. Not tester, not working for/in Garmin 

  • Now I know you are not a tech person, rather magic believer.
    If you don't report issue you have Garmin will never know it, it might be that issue you have is somehow specific to your configuration and nobody else will experience it, if so, how Garmin will fix it?
    I'm not telling you to be Garmin tester, I'm just saying, if you have problem, take it in your own hands and report to manufacturer.
    If you don't do it, nobody else wii and you will stay with YOUR problem.

    And last but not least, as said, if you want watch without bugs, buy mechanical.

    Yes, for the glaringly obvious. YOU experience a problem and therefore YOU are best placed to supply your local information that can help isolate your problem, and I assume that YOU want a fix. What part is difficult here?

    If it is like you described I would say it is definitely something on your side.
    Are you use only Garmin SW or you also had instal third party widgets on it (watch faces, extra data fields, other widgets)?

  • I use battery widget, air quality widget, yes I have some watchfaces. I tried to use "clean" software - nothing changed.

    What exactly is that function? I am not aware of any such function on Garmin watches, but perhaps I missed something.

    Are you referring to the standard built-in navigation, or do you use some 3rd party app? Do you get the error also when you start a very short testing Course designed in Garmin Connect?

    "Clean" - that means that I reset watch and used them without installed apps and faces

    Yes I used standard navigation with standard Garmin maps. Usually I make route in Explore app on my phone. 

  • Do you get the error with any course, or just with a specific one? If the later, could you post the FIT file of the course here? Or even easier, just make it public in Garmin Connect, and post the link to it. We can then check whether we get the error too.
