Fenix 7 SS (SW v22.06) semi-reset over night

I have a Fenix 7 SS on SW 22.06. During sleep on the night between 13 and 14 of August 2025 (today), my watch made a semi-reset by it self.

- All favorite sports are gone (when pressing start/stop button).

- Custom menues/folders are gone (I had for e.g. weather, health status, latest sports etc.)

- Morning report is gone.*

*The morning report did not show this morning (14/8) besides the image of when you have a race day (which I have today). All other morning report information didn't come.
I can now find the morning report options under "appearance" on the watch but only options are now: "Recovery", "Min. with high intensity", "Calendar" and "Weather".. sleep info, HRV etc are gone! 
On my Garmin Connect app, I can still see the whole list available and adding/removing and then sync. does not help.

I have tried to restore the watch using the only back-up that was available (from late 13/8), but nothing helps.
I did a map update via PC the other day (Tuesday), but I think it was golf courses for the US, so not related.

What is going on?

    Same issue with current version of Garmin Express Windows and fenix 7 pro. Please fix the Express app Garmin.

    Soft reset did not work for me. I had to restore from a backup to get the ECG app back.

    Same issue. Updated express and updated tp the beat 23.08. Went to work out and none of my activities were there. I had to get rid of the glances and add back in what I do. I’ll have to check if morning report is still on there

    The same happened to me two days ago. I usually charge my Fenix on my PC and also check for updates at that time. This time Garmin Express asked for an update which I did. The next day when I wanted to start a workout I realized all my menus and activities are reset… that really sucks

    Same happened to me. I usually charge my Fenix on my PC and in parallel check with Garmin Express that everything is up to date. This time Garmin Express asked for an update which I did. The next day I suddenly realized most of my settings are reset (menus, activities and so on), at least now I know how to avoid it but this really should get fixed… after my frustration with the unreliable software of my Edge devices now also my usually reliable Fenix starts, please get your software under control Garmin

    I had contact to Garmin support today, the problem is known. But there is no chance to get your data back, when the automatic (daily?) backup already has overwritten the last backup with the right configuration. So I have to make all settings again.

    After experiencing the issue about 10 days ago, I have manually mark back my favorite activities as favorite (I have not yet put an effort to get back my glances to the state I had them setup). After that on purpose I have connected my f7X SS to PC and done only regular sync using Garmin Express (still 7.26.0) - after disconnecting watch from PC favourite activities list has been clear once again... so I am guessing it will happen every time we try to sync using the PC app in the current version, just in case anyone wonders :)

    I experienced this last night.

    My GC told me last time I connected my watch to my PC that I have ConnectIQ & Hydration tracker updates available. After installing these, it messed up my favorites and widgets, too.

    But, some of my widgets got localized versions (Track me), or better localizations. (Not using CAPS ON for name, etc.). My copied and/or customized activities kept their settings, they just vanished from favorites.

    So, I think only these were changed, and messed with the watches' settings.

    For what it's worth, I didn't have this particular widget installed when my settings went back to default.

    But you have CIQ, since it's part of the system SW.
