Hi There ,
The button on my Fenix 7s has stopped working . And I can see there are multiple people with the same issue here. Is it a manufacturing defect ?
How can this issue be resolved ?

You should contact Product Support. The device obviously needs to be replaced.
Is it a manufacturing defect ?
Yes. Many people had same issue. Request replacement.
Is it new or fairly new? I had this problem on a new 5 Plus. Called Garmin and they sent out a replacement.
Our daughter has a Fenix 7s that's about a year old and she hasn't reported any problems with it.
I have the opposite problem. Button is super squishy and activities easily. Like, if I bend my wrist it starts an activity.
Hello Rosh79
I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. If you have not already, I would recommend washing the buttons. For this, submerge the watch in warm/clean water for 10 minutes. Then press the buttons repeatedly, and dry thoroughly. If there is no change, I would recommend contacting Garmin Product Support, the device may need to be replaced.

Feeling give in the button can be a normal experience, as is being able to activate an activity with a wrist bend. For this, I would recommend considering enabling a button lock. This may need to be added as a control:
To activate Device Lock:
To unlock, press and hold any button
If button is lose the extent it is not responding, please contact Garmin Product Support. The device will need to be replaced.
