Because they are making a lot of money regardless the problems so there is no need to spend money on Q&A...
Congratulation! But it will be very difficult for Garmin to reach +10% target in year 2025 by constantly frustrating customer with poor firmware updates.
I suspect that Garmin might be making a few big changes to the way they're packaging software across their different product lines which is maybe why we're seeing some regression in the betas…
What's more... passing the responsibility for beta software testing onto users paying for the most expensive watches on the market is a bit strange.
So Garmin:
1. Does not conduct internal beta software testing - there have been so many situations that it's hard to believe that any tester didn't notice obvious bugs in new features
2. Even if there are a lot of community reports about bugs in the beta version, Garmin doesn't care and releases such a version as "stable".

Engineer myself and previously worked in a customer support department, I get what you explained. I think most customers are favorable to a "fewer updates for more stability" approach on the Fenix serie.
In fact it seems devs don't run a test battery (or a very light one) on their sofwtare.

Looking what is going on on this forum I would say quite opposite.
From one side people complain on SW stability and it is completely understandable.
But from other side people complain why other models got some functions and Fenix 7 don't.
They should make decision, do they want stable software or new functions as soon as possible?
Obviously we cannot have both.
And hiring more developers will not solve it like "nine women not deliver baby in one month".
What is the source for this claim?
As someone who mainly runs, hikes and does weights, I am mostly happy with my 2 Garmins. My main complaint is the lack of software updates. The Instinct 2X stopped receiving updates 15 months after product launch.
Garmin has also made strategic business model changes that are aggressively revenue focussed while reducing customer support. Case in point introducing an E series with 4 year old internals possibly to clear inventory of old stock. In 2025 marketing a watch as adventure and outdoor product but with no maps when competitors provide maps at less price is just plain misleading. Garmin built its reputation on maps and gps navigation. How far the company has fallen!
Garmin used to be a trusted company who sold on word of mouth and a loyal base. See how they treat customers now.
This is 2025. Nearly all tech companies provide multiyear software support. New features are rolled out to 4 and 5 years old devices in part due to regulatory compliance requirements in certain jurisdictions unless limited by hardware. Garmin too provides new features to many of its older and cheaper watches while effectively ending feature updates to relatively newer and more expensive Fenix Pro, Epix Pro and Instinct 2X lines. That is problematic.
