So is GAP pace and the multitude of other things that were broken in the 20.1x betas fixed in this final release?
I bet no, but maybe someone has a surprise for me?

Well they broke auto connection of external HRM and other devices for a lot of people but decided to release it anyways.. unbelievable.
Looks like this 7th series are doomed. And apparently I will stay forever on 17.28 firmware, at least this release is stable and doesn't crash the watch during various activities. And couple of other things…
Does anyone faces the problem that the watch restarts during an activity, like walking? Also HRM on a treadmill e.g. does not work properly.
Hi, can you describe your issue with GAP ? Then i could check on my F7Xss system 20.16
If it were that simple, half of the users complaining here would be more than satisfied. A factory reset may be helpful in some circumstances, but it does not fix the bugs.
No one says here factory reset will fix the bugs. I just recommend it as a help. You will lose nothing if you backup and restore. In some circumstances, it really helps. And believe me, most of the people who are complaining here, do not try this method.
Yes me too
Run up and down a hill. The GAP pace should be lower than the normal pace for uphill, and higher for downhill. On the betas it was the same. I reverted to 19.41 and it worked again.
I don't really care anymore, bought a different watch since Garmin is so bad at basic running metrics now. Selling my F7x Pro SS if anyone wants one, only 4 months old (warranty replacement).
I can only say about my F7 SS, just tested FW20.16 with Polar stride sensor and Polar H10 HRM and had no problem. I've used H10 last at autumn, took about 20sec to automatically connect.
I haven't done factory reset. Installed upgrade and normal boot after that. Abt hour later another boot and charged battery to 100% so pretty much normal usage and basic upgrade. I have also upgraded every final FW version.
Could you (or anybody else) do a DEM calibration with the BT connection turned off and let me know if succeeds or not? Thanks!
APAC Fenix 7X here running 20.16, DEM calibration is still broken, unfortunately.
Hello hast anyone experienced an issue with breathing statistics? Since the update something seems to have changed. My breathing has way more highs and lows and I got shocked when I saw it. But it seems to be the time the update came.
I ran yesterday, after the update.
Average GAP was lower than Average Pace.
Respiration during activity seems to be as expected.
Respiration not during activity seems to be normal.
No reboot (though I've only had that twice anyway)
Magene HRM was picked up automatically.
Why would you want to do it with BT turned off?
