Hi All,
Garmin stop start button for the Fenix 7X Pro has stopped working again about a year after the original was replaced for the same problem. Seems to be a manufacturing problem with Garmin? Anyone else had this issue?

Hello, I am sorry to hear you are having this issue.
I had it with TWO of my epixes, so stop downvoting people just because YOU disagree with your sample size of ONE.
This is my second Fenix 7X Pro thats developed a problem with the buttons within a year of purchase. I just dont feel I can trust this watch brand anymore. This is their top end model which has not lasted…
Yes, other people had that issue also. It is known issue with Fenix 7 (pro and non-pro) and Epix watches, especially if used in water.

Have YOU ever had this problem with YOUR fenix 7 (Pro and non-Pro) and Epix watches?

You might have had problems but the question was directed at a poster who comments negatively on everything irrespective of whether or not he has direct experience.
FWIW, I swim several times a week most weeks in the sea and have no problems with my Epix Pro. However, I did have button issues on the non-pro model I had. Most of the problems have been reported with non-pro models and fewer with pro models. Whether or not the button problems are caused by water exposure is debatable since I think more people have said they don’t swim than have overall.
Garmin acknowledged the problem with failing buttons on the non-pro watches when they made changes to the buttons on the pro models. I understand that Garmin has also been very responsive in dealing with users who have had problems with their watches.
You and gaijin constantly keep downvoting/downplaying every serious issue other people point out, and you use all means of misdirection and labeling in effort to do so.
On other hand, hiding issues from other people is not good from my point of view and you do it constantly.
But let's return to the topic at hand, shall we.
First, I said the following:

I ask "Dr Phil" and gaijin to explain what exactly in my statement is not true.
However, I did have button issues on the non-pro model I had.
Interestingly, you failed to mentioned that when users of Fenix and Epix complained about this same issue 1-2 years ago. Instead, you tried to persuade them that it is isolated case and not issue with the Garmin watches, although number of people reported exactly the same problem.

Garmin kept very quiet about this issue (along with few others). Still is. Please post a link to official Garmin statement about what you said.

I'll take that as a "no."

This is my second Fenix 7X Pro thats developed a problem with the buttons within a year of purchase. I just dont feel I can trust this watch brand anymore. This is their top end model which has not lasted a year. I am in and out of the water but its supposed to be water resistant to 100m.
Careful, they'll get your post reported. My two affected Epixes were Pros, similar to the Fenix PRO this post is about, but then they try convince people it's the non pro and it's 'fixed' in the pro...as if. Had more issues with the Epix Pro and Fenix 7 Pro than with any Garmin before.
This just happened to my 1-month old Fenix 7S pro Solar. I cleaned my watch as Garmin suggested but didnt help. Have any of you had this issue resolved?
Hello, I am sorry to hear you are having this issue.
If there is no change, the watch will likely need to be replaced. For this, we recommend contacting Garmin Product Support.
