Hi All,
Garmin stop start button for the Fenix 7X Pro has stopped working again about a year after the original was replaced for the same problem. Seems to be a manufacturing problem with Garmin? Anyone else had this issue?

Hello, I am sorry to hear you are having this issue.
I had it with TWO of my epixes, so stop downvoting people just because YOU disagree with your sample size of ONE.
This is my second Fenix 7X Pro thats developed a problem with the buttons within a year of purchase. I just dont feel I can trust this watch brand anymore. This is their top end model which has not lasted…
I purchased my Garmin 7X Sapphire Solar approximately 11 months ago, and recently experienced a failure of the start/stop button. Despite following Garmin's cleaning instructions (rinsing under lukewarm water and repeated pressing), the button has now become completely unresponsive.
Unfortunately, I had the same issue with my previous Garmin 6X Pro Sapphire, which also became unusable due to the same button failure. I’m concerned this might indicate a recurring hardware flaw.
I have this problem with my Fenix 7X (non-Pro) - the Start/Stop button is stucked some way. Unfortunately, the watch is out of waranty. I've considered the Fenix models reliable, so I'm very disappointed now.
Do not press the buttons repeatedly after taking it out of water. This action alone caused two of my replacement watches to die.
These instructions are faulty and will cause your watch to die.
The best thing (in my experience) was to leave the watch alone for a couple of days (this actually worked for me, the button just started working) and, if the button still doesn't work, contact your support for replacement.
... leave the watch alone for a couple of days ... into warm (then cold :-) water?
Nah.. I just left it in my drawer and forgot about it for ~week. I then got it, turned it on just to test that the button still didn't work (I was planning to replace it that day), and the button just started working (still is working)
