  • Hello

I am sorry to hear you are having trouble with the watch. There are some initial steps I would recommend trying.

    • If this issue is still occurring, I would recommend trying the following:
      • Hard reset. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again.
      • If this is still occurring, remove the stored files from the watch.
        1. connect to a Windows computer
        2. Open the watch drive
        3. Open the Garmin folder
        4. Delete the contents of the following files: Activities, Courses, Workouts, Locations, Remoted SW and New Files

If there is no change, I would love to help investigate this further. For this, you can reach out to me via Private Message.

  • Thanks, Laurie. I ended up contacting Garmin directly and set up an exchange. I will post here again if the issue occurs with the new Fenix 7s Pro Sapphire Solar.

  • In addition to this error, I have several others with map use and navigation. Unfortunately, Garmin has not offered me a replacement watch. I want to go on vacation soon and will be dependent on such a watch there. In the meantime, I'm thinking about another manufacturer...

  • 19.41 - today's run was not saving and every attempt to save it crashed the watch. Eventually it became a multisport activity which is not syncing. Garmin, this is too many problems, unreliable and lost any credibility. Absolute lack of quality, this a level I'd expect from Amazfit and their $100 watches...

  • Eventually it became a multisport activity which is not syncing

It's been occurring for at least a month. Same as mentioned here Help Fixing a Corrupt .FIT File

If you want that one activity fixed, post it here and we can repair it.

    • Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
    • Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDriveGoogle DriveDropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
  • Thanks mate, I got it fixed and manually uploaded.

  • Mine has stopped crashing on navigation to restarting when I try and sync my watch after a navigation run to connect over WiFi. A general non navigation run doesn't restart on sync l. It seems we are bouncing from one issue to another.
