19.34 Maps are useless

The map themes are all screwed up. They might be for the OLED and not MIP??

They're diffrent for each activity but they all suck.

I'm back on 16.xx.

  • Coros je sais pas mais suunto que des merdes avec les capteurs, soit ca fonctionne pas soit les données sont pas bonnes.

  • Personally I have locked down on 17.28

None of the later firmware seems to have any value (Messenger app?) and bring more problems than they solve.

  • Hi,

unfortunately even there you're not immune from side effects...

  • Absolutely. I am still on 16.x and plan to keep it that way - all new releases seemed to have massive bugs.

  • I found my sweet spot on 15.77.  The only thing I miss is that I cannot install most ciq apps anymore because of the outdated firmware. But at least the watch is running stable and navigation is working as intended.

  • 100% agree to #Matthias#. 15.77 is imho the most stable version for me too.

But at least the watch is running stable and navigation is working as intended

    Exactly. ;-)

When I had to factory reset the F7S of my sweetheart lately b/o boot loop (corrupt .fit files I suppose, boot stuck there) I was even able to "reinstall" all CIQ watchfaces in their previously installed version (and fully configured) by just copying back the \Apps folder from file backup.

BUT: not the other CIQ Apps which seem to be located somewhere else? At least non of the apps showed up after copy back of /Apps. Do you know where those are to be found in a file backup? Her F7S had not very many of those and all were still available in a compatible version but with my T7 it would be not so easy.

  • Easy comparition... look at that images and guess with which device is easier to know where you are and where are you heading to.

WIth my F7X Pro I am usually struggling to see the position indicator.

  • Here I must say I prefer the Garmin position indicator over the coros one. I find the coros too big, covering a whole intersection on the map. The orange band watch (Polar?) seems to have a nice compromise.

  • The one with the orange strap is the SuuntoVertical

Sunnto do maps VERY well, the Race which is the AMOLED version of the Vertical is really quick for zooming and rotating as well, extremely fast mapping vs. Garmin

  • This might interest you - this is the Suunto Race

its shifting a 466 x 466 display very rapidly. I assume is even quicker on the Sunnto Vertical (orange strap watch you posted) as that is only 260 x 260 (mips)

(hope this appears - embedded postings are very hit and miss)
