Fexix 7X - Cannot send courses since 16.22 update

Since the update to 16.22 on my Fenix 7X I cannot send courses via Basecamp. It looks as if they are transferred in Basecamp (I can see them on the Fenix folder in Basecamp) but when I try and navigate on the watch there are no courses.

Also when I connect in Basecamp I am getting the error message "There was a problem communicating with the garmin device fenix 7X. Please update the software in the device......".

I have factory reset the watch (no help) and deleted all activities.

What do I have to do to get this watch working again?
