When Fenix 8 is being released?
When Fenix 8 is being released?
I don't really care for the release date. What I mostly care of is to have MIP display if possible better than the one 7 series currently has. If they won't keep the MIP display with these nice stock watch…
The only thing a silicone plug helps with is speeding up the corrosion process which would have never started otherwise. Think of it as sand, dust and moisture trap :) never, under any circumstances use…
It may be possible to get some clues from Garmin patents, which are searchable on the US patent office website. Garmin frequently patents new watch designs and improvements in smartwatch technology. I…
Who cares, when my Fenix 6 is still kicking so much butt? And since I can attach the MARQ bands to it (shame on you Garmin for trying to stop us), Fenix 6 is truly timeless!

Yah, I don't think there was really all that much there for users going from the 6 > 7. As for the 7 Plus, well I'm not even sure why that was released beyond playing catch-up for those wanting ECG (still not available in most countries).
The 8 is going to need to be super compelling given the functionality we've already got. Maybe something on the scale of AI coaching, glucose monitoring or LTE with full soc media messaging support.
I'm happy to wait for it. I'm just hoping I won't be disappointed if it's only got a revised light, more efficient solar and a few more hill climb metrics
I like the MIP Displays. I just wish Garmin would use the ambient sensor for the automatic activation of the backlight.
That could be the key feature for the 8.
Based on DCR analysis of past releases, probably early next year. Based on everything going Amoled, maybe no more Fenix, just Epix? Then again Garmin loves variety and might keep both. Unlikely, but could it end up as a lighter Epix, similar to Venu3 and VA5? That would probably be unpopular.
But what would Garmin do if both the Fenix and Epix have Amoled-Displays to differentiate the both watches? Give the Epix more functions?
My guess is end of May/ early June 2024

They'd cancel the Epix and the Enduro would be the new Fenix.
Fenix = OLED
Enduro = MIPS (and it would now come in the same 3 sizes the Fenix does)
One new rando metric for everyone to have anxiety over
Thank you, but isn't Epix a better known name than Enduro? I mean, how many Enduros has been sold in comparison to the Epix watches?
