This is probably one of the most wanted feature but I see no progress, no information on this. Could someone from the devs explain what is the roadmap for this?

I don't think anyone here is really paying attention to the community requests.
I'll just put a few links so you spare a few minutes to see what's going on:

Smart alarms means that you set a wake up window (range of time) that you want to wake up and the watch, which is monitoring your sleep, wakes you up when you are not in REM or deep sleep. I always seem…
Just because you don't care about the feature doesn't mean it a 'minority request'.

Never said I didn’t care, just suggested there aren’t many requests. If anyone wants it then as I said before I
Trust the suggestion has again been submitted to Garmin through their ideas link.
I would really like this feature. In fact, I just purchased the Garmin thinking that at least I could have the feature through Connect IQ, but it turns out tha the model I purchased is not supported, plus the Connect IQ app for smart alarm had really bad reviews and seems to work very poorly if at all. I would love to see the feature in the Garmin smartwatch.
Why is this not already implemented? They already track the sleep and they have the data of exact moments that you are not in REM/Deep sleep. You would just set a timeframe from-to when you want to be up and the watch would ring after you came from these zones. If you would still not be out of the zones when the end time is close then it would wake you up not counting the zones. These should be very easy to implement.
It's easy for a company that values / cares about their customers. Apparently It's not easy for Garmin.
Yes, indeed. Plus, I got my Garmin becausse I saw that there were that there werer third party apps doing the Smart Alarm in it... but it's kind of deceptive, because they don't really work very well so far. I'm actually sleeping with my old Fitbit, which does have smart alarm. Shame they don't have good weight training workouts nor the option to build them yourself, or else I would go back to Fitbit, or else I would go bac to Fitbit.
Actually, I realize now that this is for Fenix 7, and I have a Forerunner 165. However, it would be good that they implement the smart alarm feature to all their devices.
Fitbit had it for many years now - ability to wake you up only out of REM sleep, even if it means a bit later than your set time. I miss that feature in Garmin's watches...
It is happening on the Vivoactive 6!!! See DC rainmaker's video on that watch :) Hopefully it will be available on fenix 7 series.
Finally. Let's hope they update the rest of the pack.
Maybe in Garmin watch+ subscription, for additional 5.99/ months:-))
