Navigations prompts not working anymore

When I start a run and select a course for navigation everything works apart from navigational prompts for turns. It will indicate once I’m off track but won’t tell me when to turn. I have ensured to have turn Prompts enabled in the settings. The issue randomly occurred some 3 weeks ago and persists till now. Anyone else having this issue or knows how to fix it?

If you sent the course over from Garmin connect, you need to activate turn notifications in Garmin Connect as well. (Before sending the course to the watch). It is in the settings of your course. This setting was added some months ago, before that, every course had the turn notifications.

There are. The limitation is in Garmin Connect. When you create a cycle course in Garmin Connect, no turn notifications will be added to the course by Garmin connect. But there are several ways around this, the easiest being to change your course to the "other" course category. The other way is to not use Garmin Connect to create the course.

I tried cycling course navigation using the course I got from Komoot and I have had not a single turn notification. Am I missing something or Komoot courses won't have this feature?

I am not using komoot, but aren't komoot courses also synced via Garmin Connect? Then the same might apply as when you create your course in Connect.

At the moment I'm using Komoot Connect IQ Store app to pull those to Fenix 7, but if that keeps failing, then there's an option to automatically push latest Komoot courses to Garmin Connect. Once that's done, changing the course type to "other" in GC should do the trick then.

How do you add courses with turn information?

Not true. I ride with courses all the time and get turn alerts.

I created a bike route in GC (1st screenshot) and sent to my f7X Pro. Connected watch to computer and opened course .fit file with Fit File Viewer. Second screenshot shows the turn notifications built into the course.
