If Chris could have revealed more information, he might have.
He said what was fact.
No more and no less.

Thank you. We appreciate everyone's enthusiasm for the feature but there are regulatory components.
Whoops sorry about that Chris.
Moderator: You are good. I had to make that post. I love working at Garmin.
But how useful is the ECG really? The chances are quite high that the athletes amongst us (arguably the ones most at risk, 3 - 4 times more according to some research) have a resting heart rate below 50. Signs of AFib will only be detected for RHR above 50.
I am interested in whether Garmin wants to have this function enabled for other countries such as Europe. Of course, it needs appropriate applications to the authorities.
Regardless of the value of such an ECG. After all, other companies that sell their watches in Europe also have it.
It would be nice if we could get this information.
Indeed strange that RHR below 50 is considered too low, considering well-trained athletes may want to use it too. Apart from that, what can you do with the information? And is a trace like this useful for a medical professional? For ECG in a hospital, 10 electrodes are used. But the technical achievement to get this from a wrist-worn device; impressive. Cool. Absolutely. It's getting a bit too "medical-ish" for me though, but it's just my personal opinion.
