After update 11.28, GPS positioning is extended

It is normal for the first GPS fix after an update to take longer, as the update process overwrites the satellite almanac data. The almanac update takes about 13 minutes over the GPS signal itself, so subsequent fixes should be faster.

11.28 is a general release. Please post you findings in the main forum. Thanks.

I confirm there is a problem with catching the fix on Garmin Fenix 7 x Saphire Solar, previously it took 10-15 seconds. Now, unfortunately, even a minute or more.

• I have the Epix 2, updated to 11.28, and I am not having this problem.

I ran today with my Epix 2 running 11.28. I counted 11 seconds before it gained the fix.

I've also noticed a delay since a while back. It is not minutes vs seconds but rater 10-20s instead of 1-2s. I often get the yellow indication in a few seconds but getting green takes a while.

I use All + Multiband. No SatIQ (or whatever the auto selection introduced a while back is named).

I see that too on my replaced F7 with all+multiband, but the new replaced piece seems to have slightly better GPS tracking or it is because new firmware which was released when I was without my F7.

Do you guys have any CPE.BIN on you watches? I don’t any more, and I have the issue…
