Bought a Fenix 7 Solar due to being compatible with Varia Vision - but it is not.

What dissapointing.. just bought the fenix 7 solar because it is supposed to still be compatible with varia vision, which the new edge 1040 is not... and just found out looking for help on this forum that garmin will not longer update fenix 7 to fix current issue connecting to the varia vision....

What a waste of money!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you contacted Garmin Support?

Updated December 1st, 2022:

Due to the Varia Vision being discontinued - our Varia Vision engineering team has decided it will not be updated to resolve the compatibility issues between the Fenix 7 series and the Varia Vision.

In which case you may well have a justifiable case to ask for a refund from whom ever you purchased the watch.

I checked it on Garmin's website on Feb 10th 2023 and Varia Vision is still listed as compatible. It's very disappointing since it was an expensive accessory. We all understand it has been discontinued. But what about customer that upgraded to the Fenix 7 (my case) or the Epix? Garmin moved on is the answer we get... Sad.
