The following error occurs sporadically - since I've owned the watch (several releases now, v7, 8 & 9) - during a running activity (with or without navigation): the map view (Garmin map Europe) is partially or fully empty for a while - only the position and North arrows can be seen, nothing else. All map details are gone. After a while (some seconds to a minute or two) the map reappears. Stop/start, zoom, change the page - all manual measures are useless - the map stays gone until it reappears at some point. In unfamiliar terrain during navigation, this failure is very annoying, and the watch is then virtually unusable. Sometimes the watch software crashes at this time and the watch restarts. After such en event, the run cannot be synced with GC, only with GE.
In v9.33 and v10 the problem seems worse, now the watch software crashes every day.
Added 2023/01/31: Issue still not solved. After 6 months. Enough is enough - I am out. I don't care if Garmin will eventually solve this problem. After some extremely customer-unfriendly chats and emails with Garmin's German support team, a letter sent to Garmin Germany which was sent back right away to me without any answer, and after 6 months of trouble and annoyance with my Fenix 7S, I have sold the watch on Ebay.
