Default screen with strength workout

Hi,

I have been using the strength workout for a week now, I created my workout plans and synced it to the watch. When I am doing the workout the default screen when resting is the list of exercises. The problem with that is that I only see that I am currently in the rest phase and how long that has to be but the remaining time of the rest is not visible, the current and next exercise is not visible and the number of reps I will have to do is not visible:

If I scroll down enough I see a very useful screen:

How do I make that the default? That screen is also not on the list of data screens. What is it called?

  • My feature request include a link to related forum post that include further descriptions of the issue, photos and proof that it is something that more users are requesting.

I've also had experience with calling support directly and in my personal case the issue was forwarded to devs and it's still an issue today—hence why we're still writing here.

In response to Z's comment, I'm sure they take a look but that it is a priority for them to focus their resources at this time is another story.

  • Wild this is still a thing in 2025

  • Yeah. Just bumped into this issue too. That's ridiculous! 500 pounds for a watch, yet getting ignored for 3 years onwards.
Dear garmin! Am a software dev myself. IDK what language do u use for programming, but am willing to suggest you my services pro-bono, just to close this ticket and sort it out. IDC how much effort would it take for me. Just [profanity removed by moderator] let this work as it normally should be! I don't wanna it to jump to exercises list! THAT's MENTAL!!!!
I'm being serious, btw. I'm ready to step in if you allow me to.

  • That is just one of "mental" bugs that Garmin igbores inspite of many users reporting same issue. Welcome to Garmin world of ignoring users or telling them that bad function is "as designed" and leave it at that.

  • It is worse than that. I spoke with support. I explained the issue. The guy I spoke with agrees this is idiotic and makes no sense. Then Someone returned to me and said that THIS IS BY DESIGN.

According to Garmin: It is all good and working as expected. We're holding it wrong ;-)

  • It’s like driving somewhere. You know the way and been there many times but then your passenger forces you to see the map after every few blocks. That’s how useless this feature is.
