Bug about weather temperature widget on Fenix 7

As show in picture, the max temperature was -12°C but the real temperature outside was 2-3 °C. Low and High temperature show in the same screen was right but not the real temperature at that time.

I active every option on my iPhone about position.

I have this problem only when I’m in mountain (and LTE SIGNAL IS STRONG).

Can anybody help me?

It might not be set to the correct location? Check 'Weather Settings' in GCM under 'User Settings'?

I also have the same issue. the temperature is -21 when the actual temperature is +2.. and funny thing the low and high temperature and everything else shows correctly. just the current temp is weird.. but again, if I am out it might work fine..

The location is correct (the same of iphone)

You can’t be sure, that the weather is really taken from your position (no matter, which gcm settings for weather is chosen). Unfortunately the F7x/Epix are not showing the location name, where the weather is taken from (fr945/Edge830 do show it). The weather on my F7xEdge 830 is taken from a position about 50/60 km away (I know this, because my Edge 830 is showing the weather location name). Checked that with Garmin support: no nearer weather location for my hometown available. So this can be a reason for false weather data.

i think that in 2022 there are a lot of weather station and data to use and much more near the location. I think is a great bug by Garmin

I have the same problem - switching weather location settings in the phone isn't helping.

I hope Garmin will fix this - there is a multitude of weather stations available today so it should be possible to get more accurate weather for the current position.

As far as I know is Garmin only taking the weather from one weather provider- l don’t know, if it is still „Dark Sky“ (because Apple bought Dark Sky).

This depends heavily on the quality of weather data. For example, I live in a mountainous region where global weather forecasting models simply do not work. So the weather prediction provided by Garmin is pretty much useless to me (e.g. easily shows a possible high temperature of 20/68° C/F when it's actually a measured -15/5° C/F at noon). There are a couple of alternative widgets in the IQ store, I suggest taking a look at those. I doubt Garmin will allow for adding custom sources for weather data, even if the ones they are using can be anything from accurate up to completely useless.

Can you suggest these widgets? I try but I don’t find nothing similar to garmin weather

Not Garmin's problem, but weather provider's.
