Delete Golf Maps

Just got my F7X SS, Its fantastic but I am trying to delete maps I don't want.
GE wont let me delete the golf maps. !!! Why not ?, it says these are needed for the device to operate correctly ?.
What rubbish, I dont play golf, never will so WTF do I need gold maps on the watch.
Come on Garmin, why do I need golf maps on my watch !!!!!

    whatever.

    There is no risk on the customer, just don't do it.

    Garmin have plenty of other bugs to be busy fixing that do affect the operation of the watch.

    I am not the first to delete files and wont be the last, I just put it up here as a service so that other users know that you can do it, and so far everything still works as it should. WHich is what I would expect.

    I do not know which part you do not understand. I am glad it has not bricked your watch, but this does not mean it won’t happen to someone else. And we should be speaking about this. If the official statement is not to do it, everyone doing it are risking their hardware. And the fact that you summarize as ‘whatever’ shows how ignorant you are.
