  • Hey all, I'm almost sorry i revived this thread. Garmin support spoke to me and forwarded the details to their tech team. I was initially hopeful this would get resolved in a later firmware update but gave up and picked up some Jabra Active 7's which have been amazing. I miss the JBLs which still get use with my phone and it's sub-optimal that an updated flagship device can't perform basic bluetooth functionality.

  • I like my jbl true wireless. A shame if they have to be replaced by some other. They work perfect with my iPhone.

  • I've got the same problem with JBL reflect flow. With the fenix 6 they worked perfectly.

  • Using JBL reflect flow myself: it's a hit and miss. Sometimes it starts with volume maxed out and does not let me change it, sometimes it works as expected (and even remembers the last volume setting). Maybe Garmin should hire an expert, to get rid of this problem once and for all. Search the forum: this problem exists for years on so many devices with so many headsets, I can't believe, that this does not get fixed in the last couple of years. I really like my Garmin watches, but this is something, that needs to be fixed.

  • Hello,

I am writing here because I have a problem since when I bought the fenix 7 with my headphones.

After a while I am listening to the music, Fenix 7 automatically disconnects the headphones.

I tested it with 3 types of headphones:

    - aftershokz trekz air

    - jabbra elite 65t

    - HAYLOU PurFree

I also tried to wear the watch on the right wrist but nothing changed. I am disappointed about it because with my old

forerunner I had not such a problem.

    Could you help me?

  • Hi Andrea, sorry to hear you are facing issues with your watch & headphones. I use Haylou T17 without any issues. I think it's better you contact Garmin support. Good luck Four leaf clover

  • Don’t expect any help regarding this issue. There is alteady an old post about this. Still not fixed.

  • I have the same problem... Using my Bluetooth jaybird Vista headphones with Spotify on Fenix 7. It hurts to listen to music like this Slight frown

Update: turning my headphones on and off restored the volume controls for me on my Fenix 7

  • Also using JBL reflect flow and it's totally random. Acc to my information it's spotify app issue. Can somebody confirm? I'm not using mp3 files.

What have found till now is that it more depends on procedure of starting listening. best results I have with:

    1. turn on headphones, wait to full load and pairing mode
    2. start spotify in watch, wait to connect
    3. pick activity and start

worst result I have with any other way eg. 3.->2.->1.

If there is a problem then JBL restart always helped to me.

  • I've got the same problem with volume control on Fenix 7X Solar (8.37 software) + Spotify + Philips TAA5205 earphones. Surprisingly, same earphones work fine with the old Forerunner 245 Music. Former Member, it seems it is a software bug. Any advice?
