So what exactly is this "MULTI-FREQUENCY POSITIONING" that Garmin has listed for the F7?
Is that dual band or just using all available systems in single mode?

No, he don´t knew what he was talking about!
I will upgrade my F6XSapphire with the F7XSapphire only if test will shows that there's a lot of precision encreasing on the 7x with this new feature...
fyi, Garmin's product announcement at the top of this forum specifically says this feature is on Sapphire Editions only
You have to look at the bottom of the first table... It's same in all languages. Dual band only in Saphire.
do you mean this one ? but this is the second table
I am starting to think the Forerunner 955 may be answer - that never has sapphire but I would be surprised if no dual band...
No no, the table above this. Where the main specs. are. There are battery consumptions data and only in Saphire versions You culd see GPS all systems + multi band...
No, that entry means you can selct gps only, gps and glonass and gps and galileo.
What we are talking about is gps using multi frequency, so using one system (ie gps) but using two frequencies instead of the normal one per satalite to see if the signal is straight, or if it's reflected.
Garmin really gaffed this a bit, their website is so unclear, that entry you show in your screenshot would suggest multi frequency, but is in fact the multi-system..they just need to sort their wording out.
What we mean is the battery lifetime table, on saphinre models you can see there is an extra entry the battery life stating maximum batterylife when using gps ,multi frequency, that entry is missing from all non-saphire versions.
We could really do with a clarification from Gramin officials here though...
Battery life in top table is clear. And that is, I think, right info. Even if I hope it was wrong, because I wanted F7 due to dual band GPS :-(.
Battery life in top table is clear.
If you view on mobile, it's much clearer.
Multi-band ONLY shows with the Solar + Sapphire combination - with the 47mm standard 7, the multi-band specification disappears. At least on Garmin UK via mobile.
exactly, and this information (Multi-band) is mentioned as an extra entry in general -> the battery life for solar + sapphire combination only
too bad :-(
Why don’t you want sapphire?
Poor readability
