So what exactly is this "MULTI-FREQUENCY POSITIONING" that Garmin has listed for the F7?
Is that dual band or just using all available systems in single mode?

No, he don´t knew what he was talking about!
I will upgrade my F6XSapphire with the F7XSapphire only if test will shows that there's a lot of precision encreasing on the 7x with this new feature...
fyi, Garmin's product announcement at the top of this forum specifically says this feature is on Sapphire Editions only
If you perhaps look under battery life in the specs (if they are correct)…
But as posted in other threads: we will have perhaps to wait for dcr’s review for clarification..
Multi-frequency and multi-band mean the same thing. But be aware, not all Fenix 7 models will have it.
Sapphire Fenix 7 models (and I believe all Epix models, sapphire or not) have it.
Non-sapphire Fenix 7 models have single-frequency.
(All of them are multi-constellation, aka multi-GNSS)
Epix 2 is only multi-band GNSS for Sapphire versions as well.
I guess you're referring to multi-constellation (as our Fenix 6 models: GPS+Galileo for example) VS multi-frequency (same constellation, two different frequencies) for better signal with worse sky visibility, like some inReach devices have.
Only the Fenix 7 Sapphire version is both multi-constellation AND multi(dual)-frequency.
According to Garmin Germany, all Fenix 7 have multi-frequency GPS.
But no ECG measurement ...
Multi frequency isn't new - that is just GPS, GPS + Glonass etc. F6 already has multi-frequency.
On Garmin Italy only the Sapphire version ha multi frequency
Nope, that's multi-constellation
Nope, that's multi-constellation
yeah, I meant multi GNSS. it's getting really confusing!
But I think it's clear the feature we want is only going to be on 7 Sapphire models....and not on the standard 7. Uk site says it's a sapphire edition feature and that feature does not show in non-Sapphire listings.
Multi GNSS shows for non-Sapphire on Italy site - no mention of dual band until on Garmin UK site when dual band appears with Sahhire.
