Is this normal behavior?

I cleaned with water the holes and let it dry for a day and always same results.

also when i do bike activity i have a lot more altitude then in should be.

normal is around 100m for me ride and never is this correct. i use everytime altitude correction on all activity's. just the 2 last activity's i didn't and this where the results

mtb ride 1 1857m and strava 124m

mtb ride 2 3317m and strava 106m

when i calibrate the altitude i do use gps mode and getting arround 1a4 m altitude and this happens,

I set it to nacht ( nightly)

Its was from the beginning that i have it not right.

But with 22.10 its getting worse.

My rides always had above 300m, when it should be around 100m. But with 22.10 its suddenly 1800 and 3300

when i start a activity it ask for height calibration every time, what do i select?

do i set it manual or do i let it be?

If you know your altitude you can choose manual. If not I would use DEM calibration.

When I'm doing no activity altitude is more stable then before.

But yesterday did i mtb ride and had 1100m altitude and after altitude correction 108m

Okay. Then your sensor is probably not working correctly. You should contact your local Garmin support. Probably your watch needs to be replaced.

I did contact garmin support, bud they seem very helpfull.

they come up to try reset watch on a specific way and reconnect it with phone on a specific way.

and set your settings on a specific way and then they send me info and how a altitude sensor works with a barometer, that i should read that instead.

for me they just want to say that's is normal behaviour. i think a gonna sell it. whats the point of having a device that gives such high difference in altitude for activities.

i don't get it. even you have a setting to adjust the altimeters but you need it to do with pc. such a inconvenience way.

That's very disappointing indeed. I can assure you that an altitude difference of 1800m instead of 100m is not normal behavior. Sometimes with Garmin support, you need to keep pushing. Other people got their watches replaced for such altimeter malfunctions. It probably depends on whom you reach there.

It would be interesting how an altitude graph looks with the calibration setting ’nacht', in comparison to the ones you recorded using the other setting ('on'). Would you mind sharing a screenshot?

The setting nightly did most in my opinion.
