New Fenix 6X Pro received today, firmware update or not?

Was on sale so i could not resist myself, a season to be jolly i guess.

Came today with a 19.30 firmware.

Batt 88% charged ,good for 27 days.

When i charged to 100% watch would last 30 days.

Reason why i am asking?

More and more i am confronted with batt drain stories.

Now i am still using a Forerunner 245M and it had an amazing batt life. (27hours in UltraTrack modus, i tested this myself) ,till suddenly after a firmware update

battery started to drain faster.

It improved a little after a full reset but it's still way of from what it used to be.

So for now i am not connecting my watch to Garmin Express, hence blocking a firmware update.

Any more tips would be apreciated.

Would stay on 19.30 until the next final fw update (if you not want to give a beta a try).

Correction - 20.00 was supposed to be the latest production release firmware. The rollout got cancelled. 19.30 is the latest production…

got 20.00 when it came available via garmin express. no battery drain. the altitude bug is there but i do not use that. otherwise i have not encountered any issues. my smart trainer with ant + now recognized power, speed and cadence. it was working under 12.20 but when i upgraded to 19.20 i only had power. it is back under 20.00. not sure if garmin express is offering 20.01.

Only available for manual install. Not sure we'll see an official release before the holiday breaks. Memories of the aftermath of the GPS issue that erupted at the start of this year.

Where do you see that? It's still listed as the latest, with a 20.01 beta following it.

It's only listed as that on the forum here, because they haven't updated the post since they cancelled the 20.00 rollout. If you were to perform an update right now, via auto-update or Garmin Express, it would load 19.20 onto your watch (unless your watch came with 19.30 on it, in which case it would stay on 19.30).
