Elevation gain overestimated in route elevation details

It's the same issue like on fw 16.70. Check the 16.70 topic but if you don't want just copy your gpx files into the new files folder via pc.

For me that solved the issue. 

Still not the same but very close.

I've observed the same issue - about 3x higher elevation gain on the watch after loading a course - see this thread:

I have a similar issue, I try to copy .gpx files to the courses Folder (fenix not showing it on courses).  Second time I copy .gpx file to New File Folder - still watch is not seeing course.

I copy .fit file to courses  folder - now I see the course but with wrong elevations data.

I found proper way to get the correct courses:

1. Download .gpx file on PC (not .fit)

2. Connect the watch and open explorer

3. Open folder - Garmin/NewFiles (this is existing folder without any files)

4. Copy downloaded .gpx into this folder

5. Disconnect watch and I get proper course with correct elevation summary & pacepro data.

Does anyone know if this issue will be addressed in a future version? I installed the 17.72 and the bug is still here. 

It would be good to be able to transfer routes with Garmin connect instead of having to plug the watch to my computer, especially because I usually ride and hike in mountains and elevation is important.

Same here. I'd email the beta team (address in the post about 17.72) and mention it there. The more of us that do, the better :)

I've registered the same issue with Garmin Support a few weeks ago.

I installed the last beta 17.74 and it looks ok now, maybe you can try installing it
