I own 2 Garmin HRM Tri, both after about 2 years stopped working properly. The first one was a month before getting out of the warranty so I got a replacement for free, the replacement one stopped working a week or so after the warranty, so no replacement.
They still connect and seem to work but in the middle of the workout the stop sending any data. I opened them and look carefully, there is no indication of water ever being inside (and why it should as they are made for this) so the only logical conclusion is a faulty processor or other component.
Of course I am disappointed, but I am trying to see if anyone knows if there is a way to check or fix these units and make them working again. This raise a question about Garmin quality control also. Maybe Amazon (where I bought them from) has a faulty stock?!
Thanks
