Training Status not working

Hello.

I am owner of a Fenix 6x pro (not solar).

Suddenly a few days ago both the watch and the app (Garmin Connect) stopped showing my training status. Although I have done many different activities since them, it displays no status.

Does anyone else has the same problem?

I tried to switch off the widget, to reboot my watch and my phone but with no success. I didn't try to unpair the watch from GC.

Firstbeat only generates a VO2Max figure from running and cycling (with a power meter) because these are 2 activities that have been well studied, and pace or power can be compared to heart rate to get…

Just checked the manual, you need to use an activity profile that will give you a VO2 max reading and the only ones are Running and Bike. So MTB doesn't count.

Hiking is a low-intensity exercise, why would you want it to count towards your training status? If anything, hiking would drag your training status down from where it should be. Other activities are excluded…

As @lindajm22 said,for cycling to generate a VO2Max figure, you need to have a power meter. It can be inside, road, MTB, etc but it needs to have power data. GPS is irrelevant for cycling TS.

If you don't have a PM on your MTB, it won't generate a VO2Max datapoint or TS.

GPS is only required for running.

I'm also having issues with this, and I have been logging regular outdoors runs with GPS data (2x per week). The weird thing for me too is that I only just started running in early April and I've had VO2Max data points from before then - when I was not doing any running or cycling activities (but lots of hiking activities). The last time my VO2Max data was captured was April 13, and my training status disappeared on April 27. I opened up a ticket with support. Their troubleshooting steps haven't worked so far.

Note that VO2Max is only calculated for the Running activity, not Trail Running.

Hi,

My training status didn't update for 6 weeks. Very frustrating!! Anyway, I downloaded a training plan and Hey Presto, I have a training status again

Yes I have the same issue. I run every day and about 60-80km per week. So I’m collecting the right data. It’s worked on my 5x and 6 fine for the last 4 years so this is a new bug for me.

Did you find a fix? I have 6 and have logged three runs 25km this week and still no training status.

Same here, no training status with outside runs, 15.20 SW.

Not yet. I have reset my watch to factory default settings (but keeping user activity data) 2 days ago but with a minor muscle injury I have not run since then. Hoping this will fix the problem. Will find out shortly...

I resolved the problem by downloading a workout plan to my watch. I don't know why this worked, by but it did

I’m having this problem. I will do a reset on my watch and it works a couple weeks and goes off again. It’s been frustrating.
