How do I verify that external HRM is used?

I did pairing of new Fenix 6 Pro and the old HRM Premium strap. It looks fine. But when I start an activity, I'm not really sure that the external HRM monitor is used - in my old Forerunner 220, there was a confirmation message that the HRM has been connected.

Does Fenix 6 Pro lack such confirmation? Is there any other way how to find out which HRM is used?

When you go to start an activity, the different sensors available will flash on the top portion…

Easy: have a look between your wrist and watch _after having started the activity_ and you will see that the LEDs are turned off. Beware that OHR will be active until you press start.

Dear Garmin PLEASE give us an icon on the watch face like the little phone thats there showing my phone is connected. Then when we are getting ready we will be able to see its connection

Same here, I'm on my 3rd Fenix 6 and the HR always connects right away but then if I stretch for a minute it will lose the Running dynamics, I have a data field set to Stride Length and GCT balance, if those are not working I know I don't have full connection (I go into sensors and disconnect and reconnect then it works) . My 935 never has a problem staying connected to my HR run Pro.
