Bug report; music app drains battery

Hi. Since 4.10,. 11 and. 20 there is a problem with the music app. On certain situations it will not stop playback causing battery drain. Thought it would be useful for garmin dev's to explain when this happens. This is how it can be reproduced:

Open music app
Play music. It will ask to pair with a BTdevice
Don't pair but go back to watch face
In the widget screen you can now see it is still running. It cannot be stopped
Reboot fixes the problem

Also I see erratic behaviour in the app:

Open music app
Press play
Pair with bt device
Song plays. Notice how the play icon is still a triangle while it should be a pause icon now!
Pause using start /stop buttob
Notice the icon is still the triangle
Play again and now the correct icon will show.

Hope this helps, please try to solve this in the next app.

same for me - Spotify process continues counting even when music stopped / headphones disconnected. Reboot does not fix the issue for me. Similar behaviour with Youtube using 'Control phone' option. Few disconnects and leaving on phone option has settled it for now.

Also noticed that although volume up / down work since the update, the actual display doesn't reflect the level, just stuck at half full. No biggie but worth noting.

Also emailed beta team with the info

Looks like I only get this if I fail to pause/stop music before disconnecting headphones. It's fine if you stop first otherwise you need to re-pair.

Left mine on control phone the other day. I had watched a youtube video for a couple mins and when I checked the watch later that evening I could see if still playing a random video in background even though my phone didn't have youtube running. Email sent to beta team, should be an easy fix.

Yeah, I dont really touch beta releases. Just good to know there's a working fix which will be in a stable release soon

im stuck with this again. Content update needed for spotify and since then I cant stop any counter for any music source. Spotify wont accept wifi password to download new, control phone it keeps playing through youtube without me watching them. Reboot doesn't fix

hello all,

any information on improvement here?

My Genix 6 is still draining battery, after I stop listening music (mp3 on watch).

Actually I believe the problem is that there is no Stop button, and even if I press pause, watch continue to play and it doesnt matter if headphones are present or disconnected already.
