Wow this looks just like the sapphire DLC version...
Here's a comparison between the DLC Sapphire (left - next to a 645) and black pro (right) and the front and side ones are also black pro. As you can see the sapphire model is a much lighter grey.
A photo of the sapphire model next to a 645 for comparison (from another post). I notice there is no 'red mark' next to the start/stop on this one?
Thanks for the photos. I think this time Garmin do ridiculous. According to the photos, you show it is not entirely black like my old F5s plus sapphire. It is dark gray on face bezel and on the back of the watch as well, and the band is a little short compared with the previous version.
My wrist is 6.2 inches.
I'll add that close-up wrist shots tend to be a bit deceptive. The thickness of the watch creates perspective issues (which is why fashion photography is done at a distance, with really long lenses--it makes noses look smaller).
I really wanted the silver model with music/maps/Wifi. What’s the likelihood of this ever happening?
I dunno, for some reason Garmin associate plain coloured metal as "standard" versions. Same with the 645 when it first came out, it was in the standard silver bezel, then they added new colours like slate and rose gold which were considered more premium so were more expensive...
It looks very pretty. What size wrist do you have?
Yesterday I received the Fenix 6 Pro and I am happy with the size, but not much with the weight. I have to try a 6s to see if it's really more comfortable and it's worth losing that extra screen and extra battery.
Thanks.
My wrist circumference is 16.6cm or about 6.5 inches, and usually wear it on the 9th hole down for casual or 8th hole for sports.
I can't decide between the Fenix 6S DLC Sapphire and Fenix 6S Pro black. I checked out the DLC Sapphire in the store and I think the colour of the metal looks nicer. It has a beautiful shine and just looks more expensive. The non-DLC grey/black is quite dull. So I ordered the DLC Sapphire and will return the one I dislike the most. But I will need to compare very closely the screens of the sapphire and gorilla glass as I don't want a dull looking display which a lot of people have mentioned.
One thing I did notice is that the DLC Sapphire model was 61 grams according to the box, but the gorilla glass black edition is only 59g.
