I been having this post for a few weeks now but no real response from Garmin.

Am I over reacting or I just know that I deserve a better treatment after pas premium price of 1200 euros?

I'd rather have the older firmware with alle the bugs ironed out than getting the new one and possibly bricking the device alltogether. As I work in IT I know it is way easier to just patch the software you have on the machine than completely new installing it. It is not just new UI, I reckon.

What bothers me even more are the last few updates. 23.48 broke a lot, judging from the forum. A mostly bug free experience is all I want.

I am a senior software engineer but your idea with old firmware will fail every time because the resources are gone! You have to understand that Garmin pulled most of the resources when they decided to dead end this devices and this is the reason why they introduced so many critical bugs. They just don’t have the resources and is also a filthy trick that garmin do to make people buy new devices.
I did not suggest the new firmware because it looks cool- I did that because will have a longer period of support with good resources.

Another indication that they don’t allocate enough devs and testing resources is that in December they released beta 25.XX and that broke so many things that instead of fixing them they decided to release another beta or 2 with minimal fixes!
for a company this is one of the most filthy behavior possible and show me the lack of respect and good service after paying a premium price for a device that was dead end after 13 months!
