Hi all,
I’m experiencing a persistent issue with my Garmin Epix Gen 2 when using daily suggested workouts. I always run with GPS set to the highest sensitivity (“All Systems + Multi-Band”), but every single run with the suggested workout causes endless “too fast” notifications, even when I’m well within my actual target range based on real pace.
-
Real-time pace during the run is on target, but summary pace after the workout is significantly slower than what was displayed during the session.
-
The constant nagging pace alerts make the recommended workout experience very frustrating and distracting.
-
There is currently no way to disable these alerts or edit the pace range for suggested workouts.
-
Muting the watch or switching to basic run mode defeats the purpose of having structured training.
I believe Garmin should address this either by:
-
Fixing the underlying pace discrepancy in suggested workouts (root cause), OR
-
Providing options to edit the suggested workout pace ranges before starting the workout
-
At the very least, allowing users to completely turn off the continuous “too fast/too slow” alerts when desired
This seems like a basic and necessary feature for anyone using Epix 2 (and similar models) for daily recommended training, but the current design makes it unusable for me. Is anyone else experiencing this? Any workarounds I may have missed? Garmin, please consider adding a setting for more flexible alert management in suggested workouts!
Thanks for any feedback or advice.
Martin
