Feeling scammed

I don't know how it is in Latvia but in Poland when I leave, when producer replace faulty device guarantee started from beginning.

I had problem with my HRM Pro Plus, got replacement more than year ago, this year I reported issue with this replaced HRM and got another one.

One type of warranty you can get by law. Like you have some time figuring out that the device you got has faults right from the beginning. 

The other type of warranty is what companies give you. They assure you that a device won't be defective within a time frame. What that means and what it includes is up to the company to decide. Usually this won't restart on a replacement.

What I can say. 
I tried and I got new device twice. 

But I understand it is to complicated for you, pick up the phone and call Garmin support. 

Instead of it you will complain here, how Garmin is bad and don’t want replace your device. 

If you read what I wrote you would understand, that what garmin offered me was 70% price  for a refubrished one.

You wrote, Garmin dealer in Latvia not Garmin Support, for me it is a small difference.

I will repeat, contact Garmin Support directly.

Look, honestly a refurbished device (from Garmin) is almost like new, so in most of the cases you get lucky if you switch your old for a new one.

With Garmin Assistance in Italy, in my experience, it always ended well for me. They had an understanding attitude and always found a solution that was better than what I originally expected, so I can only praise their work.

700 eur is almost the same price as for a new one. I feel like if you market your smartwatch as able to go 100m undereater, it having surf activity rnavled, etc it should be able to go into saltwater. I never pressed the buttons while in the water either.

Sure, that's not a good deal. I don't get why the can't just fix  the button though. It should be an easy and cheap fix. I'm guessing they lack the components to actually do the fixing, but I don't know. You should demand they fix it and possibly charge you only for that (sometimes with button malfuncions they do it for free even with expired warranty)
