My watch resets after an update installed through Garmin Express (Widgets, Activities)

Hi,

In the last month, I have an bug that occured twice now, and each time, it was after installing an update via Garmin Express.

The issue is, after the update is installed, I unplug the watch and I notice immediately that my personal settings (Widgets, Activities) have been reset to default. Watch face however remains the one I setup. This is quite annoying because I need to setup again which activities I want to have displayed when pressing START|STOP, and which Widgets I want to have.

I have Garmin Express version 7.26.0+6edc8e64.

My Epix watch software version is 22.06.

This morning, my personal settings got reset after performing the Maps updateon my Epix watch via Garmin Express.

Update August 29, 2025:

Our engineers have identified the cause of an issue that may cause the watch settings to be reset after syncing with Garmin Express. This should be resolved with a software update to Garmin Express, this update is expected mid September.

Update September 9, 2025:

An new Garmin Express update version 7.27.0 has been released, to address a potential issue that may cause watch personalization settings to be reset. This may included Activities and Glances etc.
