two naps one day

Hello. due to poor/low sleep last night (4h->48 score) I got a bad "training readiness" in the morning . I can't remember exactly what value was this morning..but it was quite low after the dsw workout..5 or 6. I did a refreshing nap 1.5h..after which the readiness went from 7->24. later the day another 1h nap. now..the readiness is around 7 again. so after 2.5h hours of sleep here I am as fresh as in the morning.

what is this?!

  • yeah..this looks like a serious problem! it seems that from 2 naps during the day the watch made a new sleep period 11AM-19PM..with a gap between naps (where it says it has no data)...and assigned a sleep score 0f 38..and that's why lowered again the Readiness!

Now the entire DSW and Garmin Coach its ruined because it sees me not ready...delaying the quality sessions for the next week.

LE..found more threads about this and it seems it is by design. It is possible, I understand, to edit that day, the sleep time. did now for yesterday..but the naps are lost...so the benefit to training readiness score.

  • It's 100% stupid. This had been an issue for years and Garmin refuses to fix it. Somehow a 3+ hour nap completely replaces your actual sleep from last night instead of adding to your sleep totals or still being saved as a nap.

This is so easy to fix that it blows my mind they won't do anything about it. The logic is completely broken and there is no other brand that does this.
