I have Epix Gen 2 Sapphire watch. An update few months ago has broken the GPS/ distance measurment on my slow runs specially. I think it was v20.16 in February. Since then all my walks (or runs with bit of walking or slow running) are short of distance by signifciant units. I do all of my activities under RUN profile.
I have contacted Garmin, they asked me to install latest beta versions where apparently they fixed the issue. However the watch is still short by fair units even with this beta version. e.g. a 6 km distance only records as 5.3km, short by 700m.
Now they are asking me to use WALK profile when walking and RUN profile when running, which is not always possible. Running can involve walking. Also everyones pace is different, how do they decide it is a walk or a run. Distance should be based on GPS regardless of profile.
The thing is, it used to work fine (until Feb update) for last so many years and I never have had to change profiles. Obviously they changed something that broke the GPS/ distance.
Can anyone please provide firmware 19.34 or 19.38 or 19.41 zip files for Epix Gen 2 Sapphire edition? I want to downgrade to a stable version (Pre 2025) which worked fine.
