İ can not solve this problem (volume control)

Hello, I cannot change the volume setting on my watch. The volume does not increase. My software version is 21.19. Can you provide a solution to this issue?

Actually, if I need to give a little more detail about the problem, the watch headphone connection is successful, sound is coming to the headphones, but the volume does not go above the middle level, as if there is sound protection.

  • Same issue!!!!

there seems to be different issue every few weeks ATM.

  • I wanted to give information as the person who opened the TOPIC;

I contacted garmin online support as soon as I experienced the problem. I think the name of the authorized person was Bobby.

he experienced the same problem, during live support as me. The problem is not only on spotify but also on youtubemusic. They said they will get back to you by tuesday. today is tuesday ???

garmin is uniquely beautiful and at the top of the sector but it is very bad that the devices crashed in the last gps update and the software support is delayed and problematic in such cases.

  • I have also the same issue and I contacted the online support last monday but I don't have any feedback

  • Hello. I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. I would love to help investigate this further.

    • If you have not already, I would recommend a powercycle on the watch. For this, hold the Light button, then select power off. And power on again.
    • Ensure the watch is on the latest SW version 21.19 with Garmin Express.
    • It this continues, I would recommend reinstalling the software version using these steps:
    1. Hold the Menu button
    2. Scroll down and select System
    3. Scroll down and select About
    4. Press the button roughly 8 times
    5. Select Reinstall software

If this issue continue, I would like to collect the device of this concern. For this, I will reach out to each of your via Private Message. If you are still experiencing this, please feel free to reply.

  • I did some of what you said, like restarting, but the result is the same.

but there is no statement like "reinstall" after entering the "about" menu and pressing it about eight times!

doesn't the garmin official know exactly how many times to press which button in which menu?

the problem is obvious. how can you manage to break a system that works flawlessly?

And why are you responding so late?

  • Here’s what I did:

    • I connected a Bluetooth speaker with volume control to my watch.
    • On that BT speaker, I still couldn’t control the volume from the watch—meaning I could only lower the volume, not increase it. I couldn’t go above a certain predefined level. If the default level was set at, say, %?, it would always return to that and wouldn’t go any higher.
    • However, I noticed something interesting: the volume level that is at 50% when using headphones was at around 70% on the BT speaker.
    • When I pressed the “volume up” button on the speaker itself, the watch responded! And the volume graph on the watch jumped to 100%.
    • The problem is exactly this: the “increase volume” command we used to trigger from the watch no longer works. If the headphones have a physical button, you can raise the volume to the maximum. But if they’re touch-controlled and not programmable, then the volume won’t go beyond the default level.
  • Hey, I did some of my own research and what Laurie is referring to is pressing the light button 8 times.

    1. Hold the Menu button
    2. Scroll down and select System
    3. Scroll down and select About
    4. Press the LIGHT button roughly 8 times
    5. Scroll down the option toward the bottom and Select Reinstall software

However this has not fixed the issue…

please sort this out as I use my Garmin for music while running and the volume issue is starting to get on my nerves.

  • During Beta the issue or similar was reported but seems to be solved by headphone repairing or force restart the watch.

it was ok for me during Beta, but i did no do any check with 21.19Beta/Public, and i'm now also concerned.
