Dear Garmin team,

can you please please fix the HORRIBLE maps issues on the epix pro. 

it’s unbelievable how bugged the maps, map manager, update, Garmin express, map sync failed errors all are.

first it didn’t show different EU maps, then said updates available to golf maps, then I got updates on express and now updates on watch itself. Now it’s downloading Africa topoactive maps in the watch while I NEVER EVER chose to download Africa.

i don’t know wtf is going on, what isn’t bugged but please fix this random, buggy, messy annoying *^%%#*

sorry to be this direct, I absolutely love my Garmin watch, it’s amazing and I’m very happy to receive updates for it but this subject is bugged for YEARS now. Every time it’s something else not working properly on the maps, maps manager, Garmin express, updates, etc etc.

    However, this does not appear to be a general problem. I updated my t7p to europe TA 2025.10 today. With Express. Took about 45 minutes. Worked without any problems. After completing the installation, I checked it in the map manager on the watch. TA Europe is up to date. The new DEM maps were also installed successfully. Everything is ok. Nothing was downloaded additionally (so no Africa map either).
    I'm sorry if you had problems with this! But as I said, it doesn't seem to be a general problem.

    Good to hear it’s not general but then it makes it random again (which is also bad). My watch started downloading Africa when I put in in charger to update Europe. After it’s been connected on express to install the update of Europe. 

    So it does not make any sense. I’m happy to report that now, after doing express and watch update and deleting the Africa topo maps it does seem to be OK now. 

    i did download Europe west central east on express and can only see topo Europe on the watch. And I wonder why the DEM maps are only from west and Central Europe.

    Probably because selecting all three you basically downloaded one map for whole Europe, try what you will see on the watch when you select only one region.

    I see the same and it wonders me to what happen with East Europe, especially that I leave in that part of Europe ;)

    With Dem files i have shadows when using Maprando maps ( while deactivating topoactives files..  Slight smile

    Thanks, I’m glad it’s working good on the beta. I’m afraid to install betas though. The final software versions are scary enough.. Sweat smile

    Yes, looks that something is missing.
    Question is why it is missing and when we will get it?

    Another interesting is why Russia is missed is missing in Europe (at least to Ural should be there), but I don't remember how it was earlier.

    Another discrepancy I've observed is for America.
    On the watch in Map manager you can select: North or South America.
    But in Garmin Express in Map Manager are: South America, USA, Canada + Alaska and Central America.
