Gen 2 Epix No Longer Powers Down

My Gen 2 Epix does not completely power off anymore. Instead, it does more of a restart and immediately turns back on. Any suggestions?

Hold the light button down for more than 15 seconds until the screen goes blank. Keep holding during the emergency assistance message.

This will force a shutdown. This procedure can cure a number of misbehaviours…

How are you turning it off?

Using the 'power off' option in the Control menu.

This will force a shutdown. This procedure can cure a number of misbehaviours. It is like rebooting a PC. The menu power off is more like sleep/resume. It doesn't really change anything.

Thanks, I have actually tried this. In the past up until maybe the last firmware update, that Power-Off option seemed to be a full shutdown. Now, it does power down but then starts right back up again. The process you describe does keep it powered down, so that's a good workaround if I wanted to leave it off for any reason.

Though it's on my wrist nearly 24/7 so it's not really a huge deal, just something odd I noticed.
