If you (or he) did the master reset to factory defaults with deleting all data, which is always recommended at second hand purchases, then the history data will be deleted. If he did not do it, there may be some data in it, so check the History menu first. You can also have a look at the file totals.fit in the folder //GARMIN/Totals with the FitFileViewer
