Complaint Regarding Incorrect Pace Measurement on Garmin Watch

Dear Garmin Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to report an issue I have encountered with my Garmin watch during my runs. The watch seems to display an inaccurate pace, showing a much slower pace than what I am actually running. This discrepancy is affecting the accuracy of my workout data, and I find it difficult to track my performance properly.

I have checked the settings, but the problem persists. I would greatly appreciate any guidance or troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. If there is a software update or specific setting I need to adjust, please let me know.

Most likely it comes from an incomplete or incorrect internal accelerometer calibration…

Most likely it comes from an incomplete or incorrect internal accelerometer calibration. The data from it is used in combination with GPS for the pace and distance estimation. Usually it eventually improves after a few more outdoor runs under good GPS conditions (open space, clear sky visibility, no buildings, walls, dense vegetation,...), but if you want to accelerate the calibration, the best would be resetting the watch to factory defaults, and then do a few outdoor runs of at least 2.5 km, totaling over 2 hours.
