Reaction to Epix HR sensor

Have been wearing an EPIX for about a month now. I don’t wear it in the shower, I remove it before, rinse it, let it dry, and put it on once both it and myself are dry (as the straps get grim otherwise).

Getting the attached on my wrist under the HRM sensor. Anyone else seen this?

We are sorry to hear about the issue you are reporting. The skin irritation may be a result of build-up on the watch band and/or casing. You should discontinue wearing your watch until your skin has healed…

Personally, I wear the watch 24/7 and do shower with it. I will regularly clean it and also do switch wrists about every month just to give the skin a break.

Yes I have had it. I also do change wrist from time to time. But I like to have it more on my left and it is there this has happened a few times.

I also have an Epix Gen2 since last month. The first few weeks I had the same issues as you described, irregular spikes in heart rate during workouts. But then I switched from the standard silicone band to a cheap nylon band I bought on Amazon. After that the heart rate during workouts was as good as flawless. So for me that was the solution, maybe I didn't wear the silicone band tight enough, but a nylon band is much more comfortable for me anyway.

So maybe try another band first. I know this should not happen on an expensive watch, but wearing the watch correctly around you wrist is crucial for measuring your heart rate.

One suggestion would be to switch it overnight (at least until that skin irritation clears up) I have a preference for it on my left too, but wearing it on my right while I am sleeping is something I don't notice, but it gives my left wrist time to breath and I still get the sleep data.
