Relatively new to the Garmin experience here and trying to get the most out of it. Absolutely loving the watch and it's abilities! I was an apple watch ultra guy for the past two years but just got sick of the battery life. Anyways. Questions.
I train "Crossfit", doing intervals a lot. I have the "HIIT" activity as a favourite and see the EMOM and TABATA and CUSTOM. I have used these and they work well for what they are. Problem with the CUSTOM, it does not auto-start the next round after my rest.
For example, I program it for a 2:00 of work, 1:00 of rest x 6 rounds. Watch does it's thing at the 2:00 mark and starts counting up my rest. However at the 1:00 mark it just keeps counting up unless I hit lap. First world problems I know, but I would rather not have to.
I built a "CUSTOM INTERVALS" activity to try and solve that. Which it did. However, it also mapped me and used GPS the whole time. How do I set that activity up to not use GPS/speed tracking? I want it to do HR and all the rest, but I do not need a map when I'm done of my pacing around the gym haha. On my Connect app afterwards, today it showed me total distance in each interval (which was just my walking in the gym from movement to movement). I would like it to show my HR per set and then per rest instead. It of course shows me the graph of HR, but would like an average HR for each segment if that's possible to program.
