Epix Gen 2 no beep sound, no allarm/allert sounds

Hi there, 

I am an active user of EPIX Gen 2 watches over 2 years. 1st it happened back in June 2024 that no beep sound was listened when pushing the buttons neither no sound allarm &  no sound allerts only vibrations. Went to Garmin service - unknown issue for them so all they did is just factory reset of watches with no impact. Then maybe 3-4 weeks later suddently the beep sound was back and working until 2 weeks ago. Since then no beep sound so I am waiting :-) Anyone experienced the same?

    I am sorry to hear the watch is not making sounds. Despite this working previously, I would recommend checking the watch menu to ensure these are still enabled. Menu, System, Sounds and Vibe…

    I am sorry to hear the watch is not making sounds. Despite this working previously, I would recommend checking the watch menu to ensure these are still enabled. Menu, System, Sounds and Vibe. If these are enabled, I would recommend completing a hard reset. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again. 

    If there is no change, you can try a factory reset again with these steps: 

    1. Ensure the watch is powered off.
      • You may need to hold LIGHTfor up to 30 seconds to turn the watch off.
    2. Press and hold BACK and START/STOP.
    3. Press LIGHT to power the watch on while holding these two buttons.
    4. After the first beep release START/STOP.
    5. After the second beep release the remaining button.

    If this continues, the device may need to be replaced. For this, we would recommend contacting Garmin Product Support. 

  • Hi Garmin Lauried, and thx for feedback. System wise - watch menu the beep sound is enabled, I have turned on/turned off  it many times but no impact. Neither hard reset has helped. I will wait some more days and if no beep sound comes then I will proceed with factory reset. Lets's see. O.
