Unable to Update Workout .fit Files

Since mid-October, I have been unable to successfully update workout .fit files to my Epix Pro Gen 2. In the past, I created workout .fit files using the API, copied them to the NewFiles folder, and the watch processed the .fit files to its Workouts folder. Now, after copying updated .fit files (with minor changes) to the NewFiles folder and disconnecting the watch's USB cable and after restarting, the new workouts do not appear on the watch. The online Fit File Viewer is able to read and display the file contents. I saw that the watch's NewFiles folder has been emptied as expected.

Please advise.

Probably too many workouts in the workout folder.

I only have 16 workouts in the Workouts folder. I even deleted a bunch in case the max changed in an OS update. What may be of note is that 2 of the workouts that I have tried to update have filenames (on the watch) with _01 appended e.g., "Upper_Body_Workout_workout_01.fit". Since I'm able to use them, I'm hesitant to delete or rename them--they are the only workouts that I use.

Most devices limit the workout name to the first 15 characters. If you create and transfer multiple workouts where the first 15 characters are the same, only one workout will display on the device. To work around this, make sure the names vary within the first 15 characters.

Thanks, I read about that. The names are OK, though: "Upper Body Workout.fit", "Leg Workout.fit", "PT - Core Workout.fit". And it's always worked in the past.
