Losing connection with my phone after version 18.x or IOS 18 update

Since de last update(s) i keep losing the connection to my iPhone(13)

Almost every morning I need to reconnect my Epix with my iPhone. Most of the times I need to enable the phone connection on my watch but today its even worse: the watch indicates that it is connected to the phone and that i need to open the connect app, on my phone bluetooth is connected to my Epix but the connect app does not synchronize, it says that the Epix is not connected.

In that case I needed to killing the connect app and start it again to regain connection

Either its due to the new Epix software version 18.x updates or it is because of the IOS 18 update I dont know which one but this is a very annoying issue.

Do others experience same issues?

I updated my Epix Gen2 to 18.16 and my iPhone 13 Pro Max to iOS 18.0.1 and have no Bluetooth connection issues.

It is not an IOS problem only, my Samsung S23 also disconnects almost every night. I need to go into menu/connectivity/phone and toggle ON. Is your phone nearby? I leave my phone by the front door at night…

Just set GC to background refresh, mine connects seemlessly every time. I used to have every app back ground refresh turned off.

current set up IPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 18 latest beta , epix pro currently…

Yes I have exactly the same problem after updating to 18.16 and iOS 18.0 on an iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I suspect this maybe an IOS 18 issue affecting GCM. My IPhone 13 Pro Max updated from 18.0 to 18.01. Last night and GCM has lost connection for the second time in a few days after two iOS 18 updates with my Epix Pro 47mm Index S2 Scale, Fenix 5 WiFi and GPSMAP 66S. Despite GCM being previously paired with each of these Garmin devices, there is now a red exclamation mark next to each with the message "This Garmin device is registered to your Garmin Connect account but has not been paired with your iOS device with a blue button "Add this device." I have had no difficulty adding each device again.

Great suggestion OffdaGrid. I did have background refresh activated on GC when it lost connection with all my Garmin devices following the last two iOS updates. It has not happened again, so my issue was clearly different to those who are suffering regular disconnections.
