I should be able to navigate back to where my watch last connected to my phone if I am doing a GPS tracked activity. I enabled Notifications and Alerts -> System Alerts -> Phone Connection Alerts. However when my phone disconnects it does not alert me, and I don't see a way to navigate to or display where my phone was last connected. My watch does alert me when my phone is connected, which is useful if I am looking for it and I get close, but isn't nearly as useful as it would be if it alerted me if I leave it behind.

I have both "find my phone alerts" and "phone connection alerts" on.

I have a Garmin Epix Pro 2 with software 18.14. Phone is Samsung s24 running Garmin Connect app.

I also can't find any apps for the Epix Pro in the IQ Store that would display the last connection location.

Is there any way to do this?

  • When you get the lost phone connection alert you should get a navigate to last location screen.
Press the start button and it should initiate the find my phone sequence and direct you to the last known position.
This will set off an alarm sound on your phone when it comes within range so you can locate it.
Well it does on my iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 18.
Not sure about droid phones but do you have the equivalent of background refresh turned on for Garmin connect.
This setting seems to make GC work a whole lot better.

  • I haven't gotten any lost phone connection alerts.   I definitely have a good phone connection, and I have seen alerts when the connection is established.   I have tried turning off the bluetooth on my phone, and starting an activity, walking 200 meters, setting my phone down and walking another couple hundred meters.   It's definitely not connected because if I use Find my Phone, it says it's out of range.   When I get within range my phone lights up like a christmas tree, which is nice - but it never alerts me on my watch that my phone has lost connection.

I have the Garmin Connect app on my Samsung S24 running in the background, it's able to sync to Strava and things like that even when the phone isn't in use.

  • I have a S22 Ultra and tested the notification yesterday. I left the phone at home when going for a walk. I got a disconnect notification when leaving the house. But there was no connect notif when I was back home.

  • That’s droid for you then.

works perfectly on my iPhone every time if the watch is in an activity or even when I have stopped an activity but not saved it yet so the gps is still active.

sometimes I leave my phone in the office when I put my bike in its storage area at work.

just checked Garmin Connect and it

In the phone alerts section find my phone is switched off how’s that then?
